Welcome, Jon. I'm always happy to see that not only german native speakers are interested in our small forum/community. We had some english writing users before which were writing really nice posts. Because there are many people here that don't speak english, we always translated the posts into german - we'll do the same for you, so please don't use google translate, it just sounds terrible.
Maybe in future we'll have an english sub forum here -would you appreciate that?

Can u read German? I just wonder coz this forum ist almost nearly written in German.

And last but not least: If I read how many colonies u keep, I think ur wife won't stand in ur way when there is another new colony

Hello everyone ,

I am not sure if I should translate this to German or not. I am English speaking and would appreciate your thoughts on this. I have been keeping ants for nearly a year now after having a break from the hobby. I really like the Genus Messor and Camponotus. I would like to get Camponotus fulvopilosus this year. We will see if my wife lets me.

By trade I run an aquatic centre with over 300 fish tanks, cold, trop, marine and pond. I hope to contribute to this great looking forum and learn lots more.

Unfortunately I do not speak a word of German. I am a member of a few British forums, however I found this forum really interesting and so would like to contribute and more importantly learn from you guys. However I do not want to upset people so I can Google translate to German (but it might come out a little strange).
